Agenda Title:

Authorize Mayor and Finance Officer to Sign a Covenant Agreement Between Black Hills Power, Inc., and the City of Rapid City Regarding the Installation and Maintenance of Decorative Street Lights Along Energy Park Drive.

 

Summary:

The construction of the new Black Hills Corporation Headquarters adjacent to the southeast corner of US Highway 16 and Catron Boulevard will also include the relocation and reconstruction of a portion of the existing US Highway 16 frontage road.  The proposed headquarters parking lot and facility construction includes substantial aesthetic LED lighting including proposed installation of identical street lighting within Energy Park Drive Right-of-Way.  Execution of the attached covenant agreement will allow the installation and maintenance of the non-standard decorator street lighting improvements within the street ROW and in compliance with Rapid City Municipal Codes, Design Criteria and Standard Specifications.
